Circle Face In The Sand

Mountain of Sand

Mountain of Sand

From JB's (father) Private Blog. Taking Felipe, a special needs boy, to the public park, "I got a chance to hear Felipe interacting with a couple of calm looking boys around his age. Felipe asked one of the boys... "You want to build a mountain of sand?" The boy looked puzzled and Felipe continued, "I can show you how to build a mountain of sand it is real easy, let me show you how to do it." The boys then looked at each other trying to figure out what would be so difficult in building a mountain of sand? Felipe then stoops and starts using the park sand to make what is about a six inch mound of sand. Felipe was very excited with this accomplishment and I guess he felt it would be entertaining to do for the other boys. The boys looking on smiled at each other and then sort of drifted into something else. It was nice of them... at least they did not make fun of him or say something insulting. Later, I saw Felipe trying to interact with the same boys, but they were not taking him on and Felipe just drifted into doing his own thing by himself - so sad, brings a tear to my eye just writing this."

FAQ About Felipe

This page is meant to be a list of the most common Frequently Asked Questions a person may ask who is serious about donating towards Felipe's cause.

Q. What is the main subject of this site?
A. The site focuses on Felipe, our special needs boy. When the site first started in 1999 it was just a blog about my pregnancy, and tips. After Felipe reached the age of four we noticed some unusual patterns in his behavior that caused us great concern, We sought professional help to find a diagnosis. Now the site has evolved into what it is today.

Q. Why are you asking for donations?
A. As mentioned on Felipe's About page, we have tried multiple times to get Felipe a proper education at his level and social environment where we are currently located (Trinidad, West Indies), but it has resulted in either him being witnessed to or a victim of corporal punishment, a common form of discipline here. Children making excessive fun of him to the point of being physically aggressive towards him. Most of all there are no adequate facilities for children with special needs. We have decided that the only way Felipe can have a brighter future is to migrate.

Q. How is Felipe schooled now?
A. He is home schooled by his mother, a registered teacher, as we have no choice based on above and what was listed in his About page.

Q. Why not raise the money on your own?
A. The amount of money required to migrate is considerable and will take quite a long time to raise as a savings. As time goes by so does the needed treatment and social interaction Felipe needs. Doctors agree that Felipe's special needs must be addressed while he is young if he is to have as 'normal as possible' life in the future. Felipe needs help now, not years from now. A lot of time has already been wasted.

Q. What do you do for work?
A. Sol, the mother of Felipe, is a teacher, but cannot work at the moment as Felipe needs to be homeschooled. JB, the father of Felipe is a web designer in a saturated market. If you need a web site then all this goes towards the effort to migrate. See JB's web design page.

Q. How do I know this is legit and not a scam?
A. Our transparency online is well recorded throughout the net. We are well established on the WWW. Just Google "Jean Borde" and you will see we have thousands of sites online. See books JB wrote. Also check through BordeGlobal.com, our main hub. Endorsements from our ecclesiastical leader can also be had if desired. Feel free to read our Disclaimer page.

Q. How much do you need?
A. We have set the target at US$35,000. We are grateful for Donations to reach our target quickly. Persons willing to donate the whole target will not be refused.

Q. Where do I go to donate?
A. Please use the Contact page and let us know your intention to donate and the amount you wish to donate and the relevant information will be supplied to you by Email.

Q. Do you have an active blog?
A. Yes, but it is only available for certain interested Members of our Community.

Q. Do you have a religious background?
A. Yes, we are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Diseases News: Coca-cola Causes Cancer
Name: Fanta

Comments: Funny the person said you may as well drink something that taste good. I don't know how anyone could drink coke. It does not taste good. People just see others drinking it so they try to do the same. Its more of an acquired taste not something you just sip once and say to yourself wow that really tastes good. As for being bad for you of course it is. The worst ingredient is the benzonate but then you have to add caffeine and other stuff they put in it, all poisons to your body. Anyone have a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice?
